In state track meets over the past two weekends, the girls squad dominated, with senior Margaret Bamgbose placing first in the 300 meter hurdles and second in the 200 meter dash.

Led by senior sprinter Margaret Bamgbose, the ETHS girls track team took third at the state track meet last weekend.

Bamgbose took home a first place medal in the 300 meter hurdles, with a time of 41.11, a full second faster than any of her competitors. She also finished second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24:32, a hare behind first-place finisher Aaliyah Brown of Lincoln-Way East. Bamgbose came in fourth in the 100 meter hurdles.

Also competing in the finals was sophomore Parker English, who finished third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 56.60, and fourth in the long jump, with a jump of 18-04.50.
