According to Dan Managlia, Evanston Express’ Tournament Director (www.evanstonbaseball.com), EBSA’s travel softball league, the 37 teams are the most ever for this tournament, which kicks off the girls softball tournament season for most of the teams. Each team competes in one of three travel softball age divisions: 10U, 12U, and 14U.  The Evanston Express has three teams entered in the tournament- one 10U team and two teams in the 12U division.

“We are pleased to be able to host a tournament of this size and the City is a great partner in making it successful,” said David Campbell, EBSA President.   “This tournament is one of the largest held in Evanston and, with 500 families coming to support their teams, it has the potential not only to highlight the popularity of girls fastpitch softball, but also contribute to the Evanston economy.”
