Mindfulness Meditation for Well Being with Ajit Vaidya

This mindfulness stress reduction meditation program, created by Jon Kabat-Zinn, is used in hospitals nationwide. It is the perfect introduction to meditation and is appropriate for all ages. This program is used for patients in cardiac rehab, cancer patients and survivors, those suffering from depression and anxiety, chronic pain, trauma, recovery, etc. Present moment awareness is the cornerstone of joyful living. The purpose of mindfulness meditation is to cultivate an awareness of oneself and one's surroundings and the present moment. By doing so, one can become aware of habitual reactions and thought patterns which lead to stress and anxiety. Once one is aware of these patterns of stress reactivity, one can choose to respond creatively to stress factors and thereby improve one's own well being. This six week course will provide teach everyday tools for living a happy, healthy and whole life.
