Northwestern Women's Soccer Big Ten Tournament Kicks off Today

Northwestern University and its women’s soccer program is hosting the Big Ten Tournament this week for the first time in school history.

The Tournament is set to take place at Lakeside Field, with four quarterfinal matches will be played on Wednesday, semifinals on Friday, and the championship match on Sunday at 3 p.m. The winner of the tournament receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.

The full game schedule for Wednesday, November 2nd follows:

Game 1, 10:30 a.m. #3 Michigan State vs. #6 Iowa
Game 2, 1:30 p.m. #2 Illinois vs. #7 Ohio State
Game 3, 4:30 p.m. #1 Penn State vs. #8 Northwestern
Game 4, 7:30 p.m. #4 Wisconsin vs. #5 Minnesota

The semifinals of the tournament will be played on Friday, November 4th and the finals of the 2012 Big Ten Women's Soccer Championship will occur on Sunday, November 6th.
