Downtown Evanston is transformed into an outdoor art gallery this weekend, as more than 200 artists descend upon the city for the 33rd annual Fountain Square Art Festival.
The oldest juried fine arts show on the North Shore, the Fountain Square Art Festival offers paintings, sculptures, metalwork, jewelry, glasswork, woodwork, photography, mixed media and many other types of artwork. Fairgoers can also enjoy live music and food from several local vendors.
Held at the intersection of Church Street and Sherman Avenue, not far from , the festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24. A $5 donation at the gate benefits the Evanston Chamber of Commerce.
