Food Truck Fest, Live Music Thursday in Evanston

This Thursday's free, weekly concert series gets even better with the addition of five local food trucks, including Evanston's own Hummingbird Kitchen.

Looking for something to do on Thursday night? You won't want to miss out on this week's free concert series in Evanston, when five local food trucks join the music in .

Evanston's own , three trucks offering Mexican fare and a cupcake truck will pull up to the park starting at 5:30 p.m. Live music by R&B legend Andre Williams and the Gold Stars runs from 7:30 to 9 p.m. 

Williams is playing as part of the city's free Starlight Concert Series, a lineup of live music in parks around Evanston on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Aug. 21. A complete schedule of acts and locations can be found on the city website.

"I encourage you to get there early," said Ald. Anne Rainey, who represents the eighth ward, where Brummel Park is located. "Bring your candles, your chairs, your dogs, your kids and cash, because the food trucks only take cash."
