Chicago restaurant scene connoisseurs have been eagerly awaiting last week’s opening of Nico Osteria, the Gold Coast Italian spot from the team behind Blackbird, Avec, Big Star and Violet Hour.
Chef Paul Kahan and team opened Nico Osteria in the Thompson Hotel at 1015 N. Rush St. It’s a two-story, seafood-centric, 125-seat restaurant, according to the Chicago Tribune.
So far the reviews on Yelp are mostly raves, including this one: “I've lived in Chicago for 4+ years and this was the best meal I've had in the city.”
