Evanston Community Television (ECTV) relocated to 2020 Asbury Avenue in the Evanston Service Center building in 2012.More Incorporated in 1986 as a 501(c) (3) corporation in the state of Illinois, ECTV provides services for cablecast, as well as training in all aspects of video production, equipment operation, audio engineering and television broadcasting. The organization offers production services for the City of Evanston, School District 65 and local businesses and non-profits. Additionally, it offers a summer Youth Video Camp and an Internship Program for college students. ECTV broadcasts the Public, Education and Government channels (PEG) which are available to all Comcast Cable and AT&T U-Verse subscribers. There is live streaming on its Website, http://www.ectv.com, making the programming accessible to any Internet user 24/7. The Evanston Community Television encourages all segments of the Evanston population to participate in local media through non-commercial video production and training in a variety of classes offered such as Field Camera, Studio Production, Green Screen Technology, Basic Audio Engineering; and Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, Fireworks and Flash.

The Evanston Community Media Center is tucked away in an industrial section of western Evanston. The center is aMore community resource that promotes media literacy through programs and educating community members about broadcasting and equipment use. Television studio equipment and even cable broadcast opportunities can be made available to those who pass an instructional course. ECMC has a lighthearted, fun approach to their work, yet is extremely competent and professional.
