Evanston 1st Liquors is one of only a few liquor stores in Evanston, which remained a dry town until 1972. After theMore prohibition was lifted, this was the first liquor store to open, hence the name. Evanston 1st Liquors has an expansive selection of wines, beers and spirits. It also stocks a nice selection of cigars or food items to pair with the beverages. Evanston 1st Liquors is located on Davis Street near the heart of the Northwestern campus, and has free parking in the rear of the building.

Many of the objects you'll see as you walk through the Mitchell Museum of the American Indian were collected byMore John and Betty Mitchell. The couple shared their passion for Native American art and culture with area residents. And in that spirit, the Mitchell Museum of the American Indian strive to provide a deeper understanding of the Native American art, history and cultures to all visitors of the museum.

The museum display collections from the Woodlands, Plains, Southwest, Northwest Native Americans as well as the Arctic Inuits and is one of a few museums in the United States that focuses exclusively on the American Indians.
