Zucker will be attending Beloit College, a DIII school in Wisconsin, next season. He had 13 kills in the championship game against Lincoln-Way East, a 25-22, 27-25 victory. With six votes in the comments section, New Trier's Maddie Mulford won Athlete of the Week. Mulford scored the only goal in New Trier’s 1-0 victory over Jacobs in the Sweet 16 of the Pepsi Showdown on Thursday. Mulford received a pass from Rachel Shellenback and slipped it past the keeper off the right post for the game-winner early in the second half. HONORABLE MENTION April Cronin, junior, girls soccer, Glenbrook South – Cronin scored two of Glenbrook South’s four goals in a 4-0 victory over Oswego in the Pepsi Showdown. Margolin pitched a complete game and allowed only two hits, but was the tough-luck loser in Glenbrook North’s 2-1 loss to Francis Howell North. Wiggemansen scored an overtime goal to give Deerfield a 5-4 victory over Wheaton Warrenville South and their second consecutive White Division championship. Wiggemansen had 42 goals on the season and had two goals in the championship game.
