Evanston Township High School’s Brandon Vamarasi Qualifies for State Wrestling Tournament
Several area wrestlers qualified for state at a sectional tournament in Park Ridge this past weekend.
Evanston Township High School’s Brandon Vamarasi qualified for the state wrestling tournament this past weekend after placing second at the Park Ridge sectional meet, according to IHSA results. At 220 pounds, the Evanston Township High School senior will now compete at the state tournament, which will be held Feb. 14 to 16 at Assembly Hall in Champaign. Area wrestlers that also qualified for next weekend's state tournament at the Park Ridge sectional meet on Saturday include: Vaughn Monreal-Berner, senior, Niles West High School, second place at 182 pounds.
