Former Northwestern Physics Professor Dies at 77
Northwestern University physics professor emeritus Bruno Gobbi died at age 77 on Feb. 7. He researched high energy physics at Fermi National Laboratory and CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.
Bruno Gobbi age 77, native of Piotta, Switzerland, died Thursday February 7, 2013. Bruno was born April 13, 1935 in Switzerland. Beloved husband of Elizabeth “Lisa” Gobbi nee Kent; loving father of Maria and Serena Gobbi. Professor Emeritus, Northwestern University Department of Physics. Bruno was one of the top instrumentalists in high energy physics; doing research at Fermi National Laboratory and CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. Visitation Monday, February 11, 3:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service 4:00 p.m. at Alice Millar Vail Chapel, 1870 North Sheridan Road, Evanston, IL 60208. Interment private.
