Evanston, Skokie Police Team Up in Crack Bust

The bust resulted in one arrest.

Members of the Evanston Police Department Neighborhood Enforcement Team and Skokie Police Departments’ Canine Unit arrested a man Friday for allegedly possessing 16 individually wrapped crack rocks and two digital scales. The departments worked together to execute a search warrant at 2026 Green Bay Road in Evanston. The EPD said the officers on the scene forced their way inside the building and searched the residence, where they uncovered the drugs and scales. "Furthering this investigation," police said, "detectives contacted the Cook County State Attorneys Office, who was then [told] of all the pertinent acts in this case. The Wiz In its 60th annual production, Brillianteen, a student theatre group under the McGaw YMCA, will perform The Wiz at King Lab School Auditorium for the next two weekends.  Bring your family to the classic fairy-tale recreation of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz with rock music.
