POLL: What Should Move in to the Carlson Building Restaurant Spots?

In this series, Evanston Patch solicits your ideas for what to do with empty spaces around town. Today, we’re wondering what you’d like to see move in at two former restaurant sites downtown.

Restaurateur Robert LaPata opened three restaurants in downtown Evanston’s historic Carlson Building in late 2007—and all three closed less than a year later, in summer 2008.  Bistro Bordeaux has since moved in to the former site of La Petite Amelia at 618 Church Street, serving up French fare since 2010. Next door, Uber Burger reopened as Nue Uber Burger, but the restaurant appears to have closed once again. Dial the telephone number, and a recorded voice tells you, “the number you have reached has been disconnected or is no longer in service,” while the web address pulls up a blank page.
