Plan an evening for two with these local recommendations.
Dinner Tava – Recently opened in Morton Grove, this restaurant offers traditional Indian dishes, signature cocktails and a warm ambiance. The menu also has some novel offerings like the Chilean sea bass nirvana, which is cooked with coconut, tomato cream sauce, ginger and garlic. None of the ingredients are ever frozen, and the restaurant uses all heart-healthy cooking oils. There’s also a special menu of entirely organic versions of dishes including chicken curry and roti. Pizza - When it comes to great pizza, Morton Grove is in a category all its own. You're sure to have a full stomach whether you dine at Pequod's Pizzeria or Burt's Place (make sure to call ahead). We'll let you be the judge on who has the better pie. Entertainment …

Second Street Bistro Stashs owner Bobby Dubin has jumped on two foodie trends with his new restaurant, Second Street Bistro: organic, locally produced food and BYOB (Bring Your Own Booze). He's hoping both will make the bistro, which recently opened, a big hit in Highland Park and along the North Shore. The food, described as "upscale American with a twist," includes dishes like shaved organic brussels sprouts, slow cooked beef short rib, herb marinated amish chicken and gluten-free quinoa spaghetti. The food is made with local and organic ingredients, whenever possible. Cafe Central At the Zagat-rated Cafe Central, you might as well be in Paris' Opera district or at La Bastille. Get a slice of Parisian life--or at least a cut of duo …

Need a good date idea? Romance is right around the corner.
Need some inspiration for a romantic evening in Evanston? Here are a few recommendations: Dinner Tapas Barcelona - Take your date out to enjoy a variety of small plates that are perfect for sharing. Loosen up over a pitcher of sangria and enjoy the lively atmosphere. Bistro Bordeaux - A fancy French restaurant is the most classic setting for a perfect date with your significant other (or soon to be significant other). Impress your date by ordering something fancy off the wine menu. Bon appetit! Joy Yee's Noodle Kitchen - Ok, so it's not a cozy candle-lit restaurant, but the food speaks for itself. Dishes are large enough to share and the fresh fruit drinks are delicious. Entertainment Evanston Century 12 and Cinearts 6 - This theater has …
