Man Who Died on Evanston CTA Tracks was a Former Marine
Zachary McKee had served tours in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The 27-year-old man who died from electrocution after accidentally touching the third rail at South Boulevard Purple Line station late Sunday was a former Marine, who served tours in both Afghanistan and Iraq, the Chicago Tribune reported. Zachary McKee, an Indiana native reportedly close to graduating with a political science degree from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne, was returning from a Cubs game with his brother and brother-in-law, when he stumbled and fell onto the tracks.
