Are NU Students Getting It Their Way?
Orrington Avenue's Burger King (aka "The BK Lounge") seems to be one of just a few places Around Town open 24/7.
It certainly isn't news to Northwestern University students that the Burger King on Orrington is open 24/7. I just find it amusing that the spot is referred to as "The BK Lounge". With its free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, spacious dining room, an ATM machine within reach of the cue and its proximity to campus, it seems as though good-old Burger King meets the late-night study needs of college kids in Evanston -- and then some. However, a quick check of Yelp.com tells me many NU students aren't enamored with the fact that Burker King is one of the only places in E-town to go late-night.
