The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department: Shots Fired at Grey Avenue and Church Street Police investigated a report that someone had fired a gun at Grey Avenue and Church Street at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13. Man Punches Through Bus Window

Arrests: Drug Possession, Battery Benjamin Franklin Brown, 54, of the 1900 block of Emerson Street, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 9:14 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, in the 1700 block of Brown Avenue, according to police.  Quincy Terrel Daugherty, 29, of the 1100 block of Oak Avenue, was arrested and charged with battery in the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, police reported. Did Someone Break Into Your Car Recently?

Evanston police are seeking a man who fled from officers early Tuesday morning after an attempted bike theft. They believe he may also be responsible for several car burglaries.

Evanston police are seeking the public’s help in locating a suspected burglar and identifying the missing property they found after an attempted bike theft.  Police discovered a backpack full of items they believe were stolen by one or two suspects in an attempted bicycle theft that took place early Tuesday morning, according to a press release from the department.  Around 1 a.m. on Sept. 11, Evanston Police responded to the intersection of Maple Avenue and Hamlin Street to help a Northwestern University Police officer who was chasing two suspects, according to a release from the police department.
