Services for Irving Yaross, 89, Today in Skokie

Services for Irving Yaross will be held today at Chicago Jewish Funerals in Skokie.

Evanston Man Dies Following Single Car Crash in Skokie

An 89-year-old Evanston man died following a single car crash at the intersection of Dempster Street and McCormick Boulevard on Friday.

An Evanston man died following a single car crash in Skokie on Friday. The man has been identified as Irving Yaross, 89, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. He was pronounced dead at 11:50 a.m. at St. Francis Hospital.   Earlier  (01/25) - Police and fire officials blocked of the intersection of Dempster Street and McCormick Boulevard following a single car accident on Jan. 25.  According to Skokie Fire Chief Ralph Czerwinski, the accident happened around 11 a.m. "The car appeared to have been traveling eastbound on Dempster Street and crossed oncoming traffic without event to impact on the tree on the north side of Dempster Street," Czerwinski said.
