Little Nayembi, a Western lowland gorilla who was injured in February, is the star of this week's YouTube video. The baby gorilla with the huge eyes is said to be "thriving under 24-hour care by Lincoln Park Zoo animal care staff, and will soon be reunited with her troop. The six-month-old gorilla is trying new foods, exploring her enclosure, and getting lessons in how to act like an ape."

Evanston residents interested in public safety have long had the option of friending the Evanston Police Department on Facebook. Now they can follow the department on YouTube as well. In a move intended to increase public awareness, the Evanston Police Department has begun to post weekly deployment meetings on the city's official YouTube account. The videos discuss recent incidents and local crime trends. The meetings are posted a week after the deployment occurs to prevent potential offenders from knowing current police operation plans, said Commander Tom Guenther, public information officer at the EPD.
