Meet Ragamuffin: A Rags To (Hopefully) Riches Story

Evanston Patch regularly features pets available for adoption from C.A.R.E. at Evanston's Animal Shelter.

C.A.R.E. kitten Ragamuffin had a rough start to life. He was rescued from the street as a tiny kitten, near death and covered in fleas. Happily, mega-amounts of love and medical care from C.A.R.E. volunteers helped Ragamuffin rebound to full vigor. Now Ragamuffin is rarin' to go and ready to meet his new forever family.  Here's how Ragamuffin would describe himself: "Hi! I'm super cute and love, love, love to play. I have a cute pink nose with a beauty spot and pink ear tips. My favorite game is "sneaky cat" where I'll sneak up you or a toy and then pounce. I can get pretty silly. I also love cardboard and will chew and rip it up, so you'll want to have some boxes around for me to play in. When I came into the shelter I was neglected and …
