How to Register to Vote in April 9 Evanston Election
The League of Women Voters will be registering Evanston residents on Saturday, March 9, at the Evanston Public Library. Residents can also register online, via mail or in person at several locations.
Local elections for city council, school board and Evanston township are coming up April 9, but its not too late to register to vote. The League of Women Voters will be holding a voter registration drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, at the Evanston Public Library. Residents who are U.S. citizens and will be 18 years old by April 9, 2013, are eligible to register, and should bring two forms of identification, according to the city website. Both must have a name, and at least one must have an address. Acceptable forms of identification include a driver’s license, an Illinois state ID, a student ID, a work ID, a utility bill with name and address on it or a passport. A photo ID is not necessary.
