About Jarrett
Jarrett Dapier is a young adult services librarian at Evanston Public Library, where he runs a father-son book group, a teen theater troupe devoted to adapting YA literature, and a book group for parents called "Raising Boys," among other programs. He has written for In These Times magazine, TribLocal, and Alarm. His stage adaptation of Willa Cather's classic book, My Antonia, was produced by The Station Theatre in Urbana, IL in 2011. Also a drummer, Jarrett has performed at Lookingglass, Goodman, and at the White House where he drummed with Redmoon Theatre Company during the Obamas' 2009 Halloween Celebration. In Evanston, his drum work can be seen at the Actors Gymnasium where he writes and choreographs drum numbers featuring teens and kids for their annual winter circus.
