I'm a 14-year resident of NW Evanston. My wife and I seemed to have survived all 12 years of District 65 and 202 as my daughter will soon graduate from ETHS.

As a graduate of Leadership Evanston a decade ago, I've tried to stay involved in the community. If you have the time and inclination, I highly recommend the program.

I've spent my life as a writer who flies airplanes ... or maybe it's a pilot who writes. I've never been quite sure. I'm also an adjunct at Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism with my own perspective on good writing (yes, even on blogs) that I discussed with Ragan Communications CEO not long ago.

In conclusion (finally eh?) ... I hope to add something valuable to to community conversation.

BTW, I love hearing great jokes since I can never remember them 10 minutes after someone shares them with me.
