Battery Reported at Evanston Township High School

A woman punched and scratched someone in the face at Evanston Township High School between 8 and 9 a.m. Thursday, May 23, police reported.

Arrests: Unlawful Use of a Weapon, DUI, Retail Theft

Patti Ann Akram, 44, of the 7300 block of North Ridge Avenue in Chicago, was arrested and charged with retail theft after she allegedly stole bagel bites, Starbucks coffee, a bottle of Pepsi, Neutrogena hand lotion, Bic razors and nail polish from a drug store in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue between 11:16 a.m. and 12 p.m. Friday, May 24, according to police.

Dajuan Andre Blackwell, 22, of the 9300 block of Hamlin in Des Plaines, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 10:10 p.m. Saturday, May 25, in the 1600 block of Foster Street, according to police.

A 30-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic burglary at his home at 1:05 p.m. Thursday, May 23, according to police.

Vernon Arkell Hill, 34, of the 1700 block of Payne in Evanston, was arrested and charged with reckless conduct at his home at 10:20 p.m. Saturday, May 25, according to police.

Justin D. Neal-Guy, 19, of the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue in Evanston, was arrested and charged with unlawful use of a weapon at 12:12 a.m. Thursday, May 23, according to police.

[Redacted], 20, of the 2400 block of Lincolnwood in Evanston, was arrested and charged with possession of alcohol by a minor at his home at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, May 26, police reported.

Laptop, TV, Bicycle Stolen in Burglaries

Someone stole a Toshiba laptop computer from an apartment in the 700 block of Reba Place between 8:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Monday, June 27, police reported.

Someone stole a Pink Huffy mountain bike and 32-inch Samsung television from an unlocked home in the 1700 block of Simpson Street between 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, according to police.

Garage Burglaries on Fowler, Nathaniel

Someone stole a red, black and yellow Thruster bicycle and a red and black Toro lawnmower from an unlocked garage in the 1200 block of Fowler Avenue between 10 p.m. Saturday, May 18, and 6:45 a.m. Sunday, May 19, according to police.

Someone used tools to break into a garage in the 2300 block of Nathaniel Place between 12 p.m. Saturday, May 18, and 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, police reported. An air compressor, black Craftsman tool box, Snap-on chrome wrenches and Snap-on screw drivers were reported missing.

Car Burglaries On South, Elmwood, Colfax

Someone stole a Specialized black and silver road bike from an unlocked 1999 Saab parked in the 1500 block of South Avenue at 11:40 p.m. Thursday, May 23, police reported.

Someone stole a Tom Tom GPS with cord from a 2006 Chrysler in an apartment parking lot in the 800 block of Elmwood Avenue, according to police.

Someone stole cash from an unlocked 209 Pontiac parked in the 1500 block of Colfax Street at 7:15 a.m. Friday, May 25, according to police.

Thief Steals Semiautomatic Weapon Parts

Someone stole the parts to an M4 semiautomatic weapon, which were delivered to the common area at an apartment in the 600 block of Grove Street at 9 a.m. Friday, May 24, police reported.

Theft: Cash, Cell Phones

A man stole cash and an iPhone from the counter at an apartment in the 500 block of Kedzie Street between 8:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, and 1 p.m. Saturday, May 25, police reported.

A man stole a Samsung AT&T cell phone from the table at a restaurant in the 500 block of Main Street between 7:55 and 8:05 p.m. Saturday, May 25, according to police.

Someone stole a black iPhone from a desk drawer at a hospital in the 2600 block of Ridge Avenue between 12 and 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, police reported.

Criminal Damage to Property

Someone walked on a freshly painted parking lot at an apartment building in the 900 block of Chicago Avenue at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, police reported.

A woman damaged clothing at a home in the 1600 block of Darrow Avenue between 6 and 6:15 p.m. Sunday, May 26, police reported.

Someone damaged the rear driver’s side door of a 2008 Chevrolet parked in the 900 block of Wesley Avenue between 8 p.m. Saturday, May 25, and 11 a.m. Sunday, May 26, according to police.

Police found graffiti on a garage in the 1100 block of Fowler Avenue at 6:17 p.m. Friday, May 24.

A man damaged the rear passenger door of a 2001 Acura parked in the 1900 block of Simpson Street around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, May 25, according to police.
