Evanston Works Together

Beginning this Tuesday, 44 Evanston retailers and restaurants, 3 Evanston non-profits, and 6 corporate sponsors have teamed up to support free financial literacy, job-readiness, and job training programs.

Evanston Works Together: 4 Tuesdays in August is a shop local, shop Evanston campaign benefiting clients at Connections for the Homeless, Youth Job Center, and the YWCA Evanston/North Shore. 44 participating retailers and restaurants have agreed to donate 5% of their sales from the four Tuesdays in August to programs at each organization that help clients develop job skills and find work.

Please support these great stores and restaurants on the four Tuesdays this month - August 6, 13, 20, 27 - by shopping and dining locally. When you do, you help local residents find work, and you help show that Evanston does, indeed, WORK TOGETHER!
