Community Corner
The 29th Annual American Craft Exposition
Showcasing the country’s finest handmade jewelry and
art objects from world-renowned craftspeople, this juried indoor exposition and
sale of fine craft includes one-of-a-kind pieces, luxury collections and
uniquely creative artwork.
More
than 160 juried artists from across the United States exhibit baskets,
ceramics, fiber decorative, fiber wearable, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather,
metal, mixed media, paper and wood crafts. Funds raised at ACE 2013 will support pioneering
research at NorthShore University HealthSystem that is already showing
promising results in preventing ovarian cancer in at-risk women. Ovarian cancer is often
called the “silent killer” because symptoms are easy to dismiss and the disease
is often diagnosed too late for effective treatment.
