4 Arrested for Sexual Abuse of 14-Year-Old Boy Via Craigslist Ad

Evanston police made the arrests during a 9-month investigation. The most recent arrest occurred last week.

A nine-month investigation by Evanston police into a Craigslist ad soliciting sex has led to charges against four men in their 40s and 50s for criminal sexual abuse of a 14-year-old boy.

The boy’s parents cooperated with police after police in August discovered an ad from the victim soliciting sex, Evanston police said in a news release. Police recovered email messages, computer records and cell phone billing information that linked the boy to the men who responded to his ad, police said.

All four of the men are on bond awaiting further court dates.
