Police: Woman Shot In Leg On Darrow

Evanston police are investigating a shooting that took place in the 1700 block of Darrow Avenue around 2:40 a.m. Thursday morning.

Evanston police say a 21-year-old woman was shot in the leg around 2:40 a.m. Thursday morning in the 1700 block of Darrow Avenue. 

Fire paramedics transported her to NorthShore University HealthSystem Evanston Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries, according to police. 

Two witnesses to the shooting, as well as the woman herself, were not cooperative with police during the initial investigation, police said.
