Forever Yogurt Open, Mediterranean Restaurant Coming Soon Downtown

Forever Yogurt Now Open Downtown
The yogurt chain has now opened downtown at 1739 Sherman Ave., in the former location of Bento Express. Offerings include a rotating selection of the company's 96 frozen yogurt flavors, including red velvet, cake batter, orangesicle and salted caramel popcorn, and multiple different kinds of toppings.


Olive Mediterranean Grill Coming Soon Downtown
A new restaurant called Olive Mediterranean Grill is opening soon at 1726 Sherman Ave. in Evanston, at the former Starbucks location downtown. The restaurant has two locations in Chicago, on North Avenue and Clark Street, according to its website. A menu posted on the door includes such specialties as shawarma, kabobs, hummus and baba ghanouj.

Trader Joe's Watch: 2.5 Weeks to Opening
The shelves are fully stocked inside the new Trader Joe's at 1211 Chicago Ave., and a sign has appeared with an opening date. "We will open September 6th!" it says. Hours will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. 

AMLI Evanston Apartments Host Grand Opening
With rooftop champagne, jazz trios, grand tours and fine chocolates on almost every table, AMLI Evanston celebrated its grand opening in style last week. The new high-rise apartment building at 737 Chicago Ave. officially opened about two months ago, on April 15. They’ve reached 33 percent capacity with 60 units occupied, according to sales and marketing coordinator Marissa Pellegrini.

Resale Shop May Be Coming to Asbury
A local entrepreneur is hoping to open a resale shop in a vacant storefront at 1900 Asbury Ave. called Minou Chic Boutique, according to city documents. In a letter to the city, owner Mary May Toussaint said the shop will be "an upscale resale store that will sell fashionable clothing at bargain prices," including new and used apparel, jewelry, shoes, art, antiques, accessories and other items.

Comma Nail Spa Replaces Nail Bar Downtown
Nail Bar recently closed its salon at 1524 Chicago Ave., but Comma Nail Spa has moved in. The salon has one other location in Wicker Park, according to its website. Services include manicures, pedicures and waxing.
