A cartoon worth a trillion dollars, if you contemplate it long enough to get the joke.

Our representative has voted to keep the Federal Reserve's books a secret. Maybe she's getting ready to run for president someday.

Jan Schakowsky just voted to allow the Federal Reserve Bank to maintain its secrecy, so no nosy legislators are allowed to take a close look at what the Fed is up to.  I would be really angry, but I expect nothing from most politicians anymore, so I figure she has her justification ready to go should anyone care to ask her about it. I'd rather not know...it would made me sad and sick.

Anyway, dear reader...as this cartoon shows us, the joke is on us.  That's not very nice, but, nevertheless, it is true.  This cartoon made by someone with a healthy sense of self respect and wide-eyed skepticism came out the year before the Federal Reserve Bank became established here in the US in 1913-14.  At the time, the name being bandied about was the National Reserve Association, and that is the name on this cartoonist's octopus which so brilliantly represents what we now know as the Federal Reserve Bank.  How did he know how this would turn out?  Well, alot of people knew, only they got seduced or threatened or something.  After signing the Federal Reserve into law, president Woodrow Wilson said the following, sounding like a man who had one too many before meeting that seemingly sweet and sexy gal in the bar, only to discover she would later destroy his life.

"I am a most unhappy man.  I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit.  Our system of credit is concentrated.  The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men.  We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world, no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men."

And so it is, dear reader.  You think you have freedom of choice, but you do not.  We are ruled by a small group of central bankers who rule the markets through their now famous corrupt too-big-to-fail financial corporations such as JP Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs.  Let's not forget HSBC, whose COO just admitted to our brave government representatives that they had been laundering money for drug traffickers and terrorists for years.  Then he said, ladies and gentlemen, I am stepping down, and walked away a free, and very rich man...and so shall he remain.  You, dear reader, will not be so lucky.  You will pay and pay and pay, for the rest of your life.
